Astronaut Encounter

The Astronaut Encounter is one of the truly rare opportunities to meet a real NASA veteran. During a live presentation, the astronaut talks about their experiences in space, followed by a Q&A session and a personal photo. It is recommended to register in advance on the event page to participate. There you can also see when the next events will take place.

Apollo – Saturn V Center

Directly inside the Apollo – Saturn V Center building is the Firing Room Theater. It is an exact replica of the Apollo 8 mission control center, which simulates a rocket launch. The attention to detail makes you feel like you’re directly involved. A bit farther along is the Lunar Theater, which simulates the Apollo 11 moon landing. The famous quote by astronaut Buzz Aldrin, “One small step for me, but one giant leap for mankind,” is brought back to mind in this reenactment as you witness this historic event. Also located in the Apollo – Saturn V Center is an original display of the Saturn V moon rocket—only 3 exist—as well as the LC39 Observatory Gantry, where you can watch an actual rocket launch. It’s worth booking a reservation as early as possible, as there is high demand. Here you can find the next rocket launches. For anyone who prefers a group tour, you can book an organized trip from Orlando.
